Lately I'm fascinated with antique book covers...I've made several banners from them for Christmas, but these lighter more pastel colors seemed more suited to Easter.
First I found book covers similar in size and color.
Then I sewed laces and crochet pieces together and gathered them to fit the books.
Added glittered letters...
And Voila!
A pretty pastel Easter Garland!
I've also done a bit of embroidery work while recuperating from a minor surgery...here's what I've been working on...
Not sure what I'll do with these pieces yet...maybe put them on a purse or tote bag...
Hugs, Catherine

I probably won't decorate until April, because I only have one spot that I do seasonal decor. This year there is Mardi Gras, and St. Patrick's, because Easter is late. I do go all out for Christmas, though it is much less than most.

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, that is so pretty! I love antique book covers also. They always draw me to look inside. Thank you for stopping in at Cranberry Morning and for following! I'm always sad too to see family Bibles not kept in the family or appreciated by successive generations.
