Graduation Party

This lovely young lady wanted an elegant graduation party!  She also loved lanterns and chandeliers.  So here's what I came up with for her!
The graduate really liked the cake I made for her mom's birthday (see my post on Pretty Little Pillows and a Cake!).  So I made one for her in the colors she requested -- turquoise and orange!

The congratulations banner has a photo of the graduate as a baby at the left and a current photo at the right.
 How's that for Bling?
The buffet décor added elegance to a yummy traditional barbeque.
Even the Hershey Kisses were decorated!
Peacock feathers coordinated well with the color scheme of turquoise and orange.  The wind was wreaking havoc with those peacock feathers!  I had to wire the silver container to the column!
I covered the food with organza fabric to keep any flies away.
See those tiny little congratulations banners on the buns?
It wasn't easy to hang that chandelier in the tree!
The graduate chose different brooches from my stash to put on the centerpieces.
This was the entrance area.  I lit the collage of photos from behind.  As the sun goes down, the light behind these photos will really glow.  Scroll down for another photo!
Another lovely brooch on this centerpiece.  See the smaller votive candles?  I printed the graduate's initial on vellum paper, and wrapped the votive candles with it!

Floating candles embellished with jewelry and peacock feathers!

Vellum paper surrounds the votive candles.  I printed the graduate's initial on the vellum paper, then wrapped the candles.
 Don't you just love chandeliers?

Lanterns surrounded the entire party area.

Now the family collage of photos really glows!  See the container for the cards?  It's an embellished purse in the turquoise color that the graduate requested!  It was a great party - lots of friends and family to celebrate this special day!
