I put just a slight silver glaze on this pumpkin stem for even more glamour. Getting ready for a couple of craft shows here in Texas. I'll be at the J.J. Pearce Pacesetters Holiday Bazaar in a couple of weeks.
After making these blue ones from a vintage beaded gown...I made these brown ones to coordinate with them. Since the brown fabric was beaded in a blue color that was almost the same as the blue fabric, I thought they would look pretty together.
I can never resist embellishing my creations with jewelry. Magnolia Pearl says "don't be afraid to layer beauty on top of beauty." Agreed!
Or just to decorate in the all white style....why not white for Halloween? There are no rules that say everything has to be black and orange!
This next set is just dreamy, maybe even ethereal! It makes me sigh with happiness..
So glad you stopped by today! Have an elegant Halloween!

OH.MY.GOODNESS. These are just breathtakingly gorgeous! So very elegant and rich looking...what creativity too! One question: Where do you find the pumpkin stems?
ReplyDeleteHi, Debby. Thanks for your sweet comments. I get the pumpkin stems from a friend who works at a pumpkin patch every year for her church. She keeps any that happen to fall off - and a lot of them do. I also ask friends to save them for me, and I save my own as well. Just cut off any goo, then They dry naturally, much like a gourd. If any mold is present, I soak them in Clorox and water, scrub them, then dry them in the oven on low.
DeleteOh my these pumpkins are just spectacular. You are a true artist. Your work belongs in a magazine.
ReplyDeleteStop by for a visit..

Oh MY!!!! I too love you beautiful ornate pumpkins! Will you have more in your Etsy shop ???? Especially LOVE the ornate white ones!
ReplyDeleteHello, Debra! I do have more pumpkins in my Etsy shop. The white ones have sold out, but I have others. (Although i'm doing a craft show this weekend, so I'll be deactivating my listings for this weekend.) And I am all out of pumpkin stems for this year. HOWEVER, I am already planning for next year, and already have requests on etsy for next year's pumpkins. If you like, convo me on etsy so that I'll have a record of it, and I'll email you first when I have some white ones done. I can let you pick your favorite set from the ones I have, and do a custom listing for you before I put the rest up on Etsy. Thanks for your sweet words, and your interest in my creations! : ) Catherine
