Family Collage for Baby

Here's a sweet project I did for my sister-in-law.  She wanted to give a gift at a baby shower, and asked me to make a personalized project similar to one that I had made for my niece.  For my niece, of course, I used family photos of her family.  For this baby, my sister-in-law emailed me photos of of the baby's family, and I re-sized them in powerpoint.  Then chose a shape to put on baby's shirt.  Printed the pics onto fabric, and sewed them onto the baby shirt!  Voila!  Instant heirloom sure to make grandma and grandpa smile!!

Any shape will do, of course!  I used the tooth shape below because the mommy is a dental hygenist.  Personalize it for whatever interest the family has.
A tie will always work for a baby boy!
Happy Creating!

  3. What a clever idea! I once made "memory pillows" for my high school friends with photos on fabric that I sewed onto the pillows and adorned with beads and puffy paint...but I love the idea of creating a collage on a onesie. Also, by printing the colors in black and white, it provides a nice unified look. Well done! And thanks for your sweet comment on my blog today and the follow on google+. Following you back!

  7. This is such a thoughtful gift idea! I don't know anyone who would appreciate this photo memory. I like it for grandparents who live far away to make sure that my kids don't forget them and are really comfortable with them during their brief visits. We are starting a link up party on Thursdays (today:), and we would love for you to join us with this post and/or any others you would like to include. We are at allthingswithpurpose.com. Hope to see you there!!
